Mongolian News Agency, Ulaanbaatar, October 17th, the plenary session of the State Great Khural today discussed the resignation application of the chairman of the State Great Khural, D. Amarbayasgalan.

He submitted the resignation application at a meeting of the committee under the chairmanship of the State Great Khural on the 16th of this month. On the same day, the Standing Committee of the State Great Khural discussed the issue, and all 23 members of the meeting supported the acceptance of his application. D. Amarbayasgalan stated that in accordance with Article 12.2.1 of the Law of the State Great Khural of Mongolia, he proposed to resign from the position of chairman in order to fully restore his reputation, maintain parliamentary democratic freedom, and establish justice.

At today's plenary session of the State Great Khural, 102 out of 114 members voted to "accept this application." Before the reappointment of the chairman of the State Great Khural, the vice-chairman of the State Great Khural, H. Boldgankhuu, will act as the chairman.
