WeChat Official Account "China Huaneng" reported on May 4th that recently, China Huaneng has achieved for the first time in the country the continuous high-load service operation of the first-stage moving blades of 9FA-type gas turbine with independent intellectual property rights for "72+24" hours.
As of the press time, this blade has been in cumulative service operation for more than 200 hours on Unit 2 of Huaneng Nanjing Gas Turbine Power Plant, becoming the first domestically self-developed F-class heavy-duty gas turbine first-stage moving blade to achieve a service operation duration exceeding 200 hours.
Facing technical difficulties and process challenges such as coupled design under multiple restrictions including weight, size, and cooling air flow, Xi'an Thermal Power Research Institute took the lead in systematically overcoming a series of key core technologies in each link from blade design, manufacturing, to inspection and testing. It successfully realized the stable small-batch production of the blades. After passing the technical review by the China Society for Electrical Engineering and the first-piece batch appraisal, the blades were installed and started debugging on Unit 2 of Huaneng Nanjing Gas Turbine Power Plant in March this year.
The service operation of the first-stage moving blades of the 9FA-type gas turbine with autonomous research and development marks an important step forward in the domestication of the core high-temperature components of F-class heavy-duty gas turbines in operation in our country. It has realized the full technical chain construction and complete industrial chain connection of component design, precision casting, special processing, quality control, inspection and testing, gas turbine disassembly, installation and debugging, laying a solid foundation for subsequent full domestication.
