According to a report by @International Business Daily, on November 13, during the regular press conference held by the Ministry of Commerce, foreign media asked whether the Dutch delegation had already arrived in China and when the consultation would be held, as well as what expectations the Ministry of Commerce has for the results of the consultation with the Dutch side.

In response, He Yadong, spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce, stated that since the incident involving NXP Semiconductor, the Chinese side has always been committed to the responsible attitude towards the stability and security of the global semiconductor supply chain, and has conducted multiple rounds of consultations with the Dutch side, and agreed to the request of the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs to send envoys to China for consultation. We hope the Dutch side will demonstrate a sincere willingness to cooperate with China, and quickly put forward practical and constructive solutions to the problem, and take concrete actions to restore the safety and stability of the global semiconductor supply chain from the source as soon as possible and effectively.

On November 9, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce stated that the root cause and responsibility for the current chaos in the global semiconductor supply chain lies with the Dutch side. The Chinese side noted that the EU has expressed its intention to work with the Dutch side, and hopes the EU will further intensify its efforts to urge the Dutch side to revoke the relevant measures as soon as possible, ensuring the normal supply of NXP Semiconductor-related products. The Chinese side, in a responsible attitude towards the security and stability of the global semiconductor supply chain, has taken concrete measures to exempt the export of relevant goods used for civil purposes that meet the requirements. I would like to emphasize that we welcome the EU to continue to play an influential role and urge the Dutch side to correct its wrong practices as soon as possible.

On November 11, Minister of Commerce Wang Wen Tao held a video conference with the German Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, Robert Habeck, to exchange views on Sino-German and Sino-EU economic and trade issues. Wang Wen Tao emphasized that the root cause of the NXP Semiconductor issue is the improper intervention of the Dutch government in the internal affairs of enterprises, and the responsibility for the turbulence and confusion in the global semiconductor supply chain lies with the Dutch side. In a responsible manner, the Chinese side has made maximum efforts to exempt the exports that meet the conditions, which has eased the pressure on the global supply chain in a short period. However, to ensure the long-term stability of the global semiconductor supply chain, it is necessary for the Dutch side to demonstrate a constructive attitude and concrete actions. We hope that the German side will play an active role, urge the Dutch government to take concrete actions as soon as possible, correct the wrong practices, revoke the relevant measures, and promote the early resolution of the issue.

Habeck stated that the German government highly values the development of Sino-German economic and trade relations, and is impressed by China's achievements and vitality in economic development. Sino-German economic and trade cooperation benefits both sides, and the German side is willing to strengthen dialogue and exchanges with China, further deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, and promote more balanced and sustainable bilateral trade. The German side is highly concerned about the NXP Semiconductor issue and is willing to continue to enhance communication with the Dutch side.
