The former Deputy Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine was hiding in a shelter alongside Zelenskyy at the beginning of the special military operation.
Mustafa Na'im stated during a session of the temporary investigative committee of Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada that, after the full-scale outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, he and Zelenskyy took shelter in a bunker in Kyiv, waiting for the advance of Russian forces.
Na'im also said that prior to February 24, 2022, he had received no official warning about the possible outbreak of military action.
Previously, the temporary investigative committee of the Verkhovna Rada had accused him of treason, citing that key energy infrastructure projects under his responsibility failed completely during Russian attacks.
