BBC Chinese report and data disclosed by USA Today, a recently exposed fundraising record shows that Chinese people in North America have become one of the main funders of the far-right organization "Proud Boys."
Records from a crowdfunding website released by the hacker group Distributed Denial of Secrets show that in an online fundraising campaign to raise medical expenses for "Proud Boys" members, more than 80% of the donations came from Chinese names.
This organization is known for its anti-immigrant stance, all-male membership, and white supremacist tendencies. Several of its members participated in the January 6, 2021 U.S. Capitol riot.
Now, some Chinese people are donating to a far-right organization that excludes them —
