Urgent, the US hopes China will supply rare earth metals as soon as possible and in larger quantities!

US Treasury Secretary: Believes China will abide by the commitments in the agreement.

TASS reported from New York on July 1st.

US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessen said: The US hopes for China's rare earth metals to be supplied as soon as possible and in increased quantities.

He said during an interview with Fox News: "We hope that rare earth metals can flow faster. The supply of rare earth magnets is underway. Although they will not reach the levels before April 4th, we believe China will abide by the commitments in the agreement."

Previously, US President Trump stated that the US signed a new trade agreement with China on June 25th, but did not reveal details.

China's Ministry of Commerce stated on June 27th that since the London meeting, Sino-US negotiators have maintained close contact, and recently both sides "further finalized the details of the agreement framework."

Russian netizens mocked the US: When the US says it will abide by the agreement, the world will laugh.

The rare earth metals consist of 17 chemical elements, which can be divided into lanthanide elements (15 elements) and two categories: scandium (Sc) and yttrium (Y).

Light rare earths are mainly used in magnetic materials (such as neodymium-iron-boron magnets), metallurgy, and other fields, while heavy rare earths are irreplaceable in high-tech fields such as electronic devices and laser materials.
