The message states: "The Czech Ministry of Defense committee approved the purchase of Leopard 2A8 tanks. The first phase plans to purchase 44 command and combat vehicles. Along with adapting the tanks to the needs of the Czech army, the total value of the contract will reach 34.25 billion Czech crowns. The first batch of tanks should be supplied to the Czech Republic in 2028, and the entire order should be completed by 2031. Future plans also include purchasing 17 to 19 other types of Leopard 2A8 tanks: the repaired and transported type, bridge type, engineering type, and training type."
The above price includes the tank system and mine protection system, as well as comprehensive logistics support, including spare parts and training. In total, the Czech army should be equipped with 61 to 77 Leopard 2A8 tanks.
