After the "Flamingo" cruise missile, Ukraine has introduced another weapon.

According to reports, the Ukrainian military department recently publicly released an upgraded version of the R360 "Neptune" anti-ship cruise missile with a range of up to 1000 kilometers.

Although according to the Ukrainian Defense Department, this missile was independently developed by Ukraine, Russian analysts pointed out that the missile is likely an extended version of the Soviet-era X35 anti-ship missile, and its technology may have received support from the United Kingdom.

The upgraded R-360 "Neptune" missile can effectively enhance the Ukrainian army's ability to strike Russian targets. It is said that its range can cover the entire Black Sea and some coastal areas of Russia, significantly increasing the threat to the Russian Black Sea Fleet.

As of now, the US has not commented on Ukraine's "Neptune" missile. However, on the day of Ukraine's independence, Zelenskyy claimed that the successful development of Ukraine's domestic missiles means that Ukraine will have a certain degree of military autonomy. It is different from the US-made Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS), so in terms of use, Ukraine "does not have to coordinate with the United States anymore".
