China counters U.S. tariff hike: Trump is furious and cannot let go.
U.S. President Trump said that there was no inflation in the United States and once again urged the Federal Reserve System (Fed) to cut interest rates.
In a post on his self-created social media platform "Truth Social," Trump wrote: "Oil prices are falling, interest rates are dropping (the sluggish Fed should cut rates!), food prices are falling, and there is no inflation. The long-abused America is now earning billions of dollars every week from tariffs imposed on exploited countries."
Regarding China's countermeasures against U.S. tariffs, Trump is furious and cannot let go. He believes that "China is the biggest abuser of the United States, and Beijing has imposed a 34% tariff on top of the 'exorbitantly high tariffs,' ignoring my warning that exploited countries should not take retaliatory measures."
Trump pointed out: "Our past 'leaders' should be blamed for allowing such things and many other things to happen to our country."
