NATO Secretary-General: Must Increase Pressure on Countries Purchasing Russian Oil

Russian State News Agency, Moscow, September 26 - NATO Secretary-General Stoltenberg said that pressure must be increased on NATO member states purchasing Russian oil, including Turkey, Hungary and Slovakia, which could have found oil and gas resources elsewhere in the world.

Stoltenberg said on the Newsmax television program: "They are also NATO members. Turkey, as well as Hungary and Slovakia, can certainly find oil and gas markets elsewhere in the world... because Russian energy prices are not expensive... we do indeed need to increase pressure on countries purchasing oil."

President Trump previously expressed disappointment that NATO countries continued to purchase Russian oil despite their positions on the Ukraine issue.
