Foreign Media: China's "NVIDIA Alternative" Cambricon Sees 4348% Revenue Surge in Half a Year, Reaching New Highs Driven by AI Boom
Cambricon, a Chinese chip manufacturer seen as a potential alternative to NVIDIA, reported revenue of 2.88 billion yuan (approximately 403.8 million USD) in the first half of 2025, a staggering increase of 4348% compared to the same period last year, reaching a new high since its listing in 2020. Profit also reached 1.04 billion yuan, reversing a net loss of 533 million yuan in the first half of 2024.
Cambricon stated that this achievement was driven by continuous market expansion and active support for the implementation of AI applications. Benefiting from the breakthrough of DeepSeek's new model, Cambricon's stock has risen nearly tenfold over the past two years, doubling just in the past month.
The company has made progress in both chip hardware and software, and is viewed as a potential alternative to NVIDIA GPUs.
