Due to the energy crisis, the EU urges remote work and reduced travel

EU Energy Commissioner Dan Jønsson warned that, against the backdrop of escalating tensions around Iran and rising oil and gas prices, a prolonged crisis is looming.

He called for fuel conservation: increasing the frequency of remote work, reducing car and air travel, and promoting public transportation and car-sharing services.

He emphasized that even if peace is restored quickly, conditions will not return to normal soon, thus the EU will accelerate its transition to renewable energy and reduce dependence on imported energy.
