Media: Anti-Zelenskyy and anti-corruption rallies erupt in the center of Kyiv

According to the Ukrainian news website strana, hundreds of protesters held a rally in the center of Kyiv on Saturday, targeting Zelenskyy and domestic corruption. This demonstration took place amid a major scandal in Ukraine's energy sector, with the involved businessman Temur Mintsykh being accused of being a close associate of Zelenskyy.

Ukrainian activist Maria Barabash previously announced that due to the ongoing energy sector corruption scandal, she would organize a protest on Saturday at Kyiv's Independence Square. A media Telegram channel reported: "Today, an anti-Zelenskyy and anti-corruption rally was held at Kyiv's Independence Square, with approximately a hundred participants gathered on site."

According to media reports, demonstrators held signs reading "Zelenskyy is a criminal" and "Oppose corruption," while also expressing support for Ruslan Magomedrasulov, a detective from the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, who was arrested by the State Security Service of Ukraine on suspicion of bribery.

On November 10, the Ukrainian National Anti-Corruption Bureau stated that it was conducting a large-scale operation to expose corruption in Ukraine's energy sector. The bureau posted photos on its Telegram channel showing bags filled with foreign currency, which were seized during the special operation targeting the energy sector.

Ukrainian MP Zheliznyak stated that the Ukrainian National Anti-Corruption Bureau is searching the residences of Ukraine's former energy minister and current Minister of Justice Galushchenko, as well as the state nuclear power company. According to a report by the Ukrainian Pravda newspaper, citing sources from law enforcement, the Ukrainian National Anti-Corruption Bureau also searched a businessman, a close associate of Zelenskyy, Mintsykh. Zheliznyak pointed out that Mintsykh was hastily taken out of Ukraine before the search.

On November 12, under the context of the investigation into the energy sector corruption case, the Ukrainian authorities removed the Minister of Justice Galushchenko from his position.
