[Confession of the Suspect in the Murder of a Russian Army General]
On April 27, the Komsomolskaya Pravda reported that the person arrested for the murder of Major General Yaroslav Moscowlik, Deputy Director of the Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia, has confessed. The Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation released relevant information and videos.
The suspect is Ignat Kuzin, 42 years old. In the video, he stated that he was recruited by the Ukrainian special forces and carried out a series of actions according to his superiors' instructions. Kuzin said that he purchased a "Volkswagen" car and installed an explosive device inside. The bomb was remotely detonated.
On April 25, Major General Moscowlik was killed in a car bomb attack in Balashikha, a suburb of Moscow. Official spokeswoman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Maria Zakharova, stated that there is reason to believe that the Ukrainian special forces were involved in the assassination of General Moscowlik.
