Poland warns the United States not to cross the red line.
On April 7, Russia's Sputnik News Agency quoted a Financial Times report that Pavel Koval, chairman of the Ukraine Cooperation Committee under the leadership of Polish Prime Minister Tusk, stated that Poland and other Central European countries considered the U.S. recognizing the new Russian regions as "crossing the red line."
The Crimean Peninsula, Zaporozhye, Luhansk, Kherson, and Donetsk are five regions that Russia has obtained from Ukraine and joined Russia through a referendum. Due to Russia's significant advantage in the frontline areas, it is now impossible for Ukraine to recapture the lost territories. The U.S. has basically acknowledged Crimea as part of Russia, and several other regions are also requiring Ukraine to make territorial concessions, only then can a final agreement be reached to end the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. Poland, the Czech Republic, and others have a very tough stance toward Russia. They believe that the U.S. recognizing these new regions as part of Russia will cross the red line, which is a serious mistake. The underlying meaning of Poland and other countries is that they must defeat Russia and help Ukraine recapture the lost territories, but none of them dare to send troops to help Ukraine; they only know how to fan the flames and risk getting burned themselves.
