Toronto Scarborough Chinese Restaurant Bathroom Hides Cameras, Police Notice: Those Who Have Been There Recently Are Urged to Contact Us Promptly!
The owner of a restaurant in Scarborough, Toronto, has recently been charged. The police accused him of installing hidden cameras in the restroom of his own operated restaurant.
Investigators stated that the owner of "Yomie's Rice X Yogurt" restaurant located near Finch Avenue East and Midland Avenue installed the camera in October 2024.
This camera was hidden in the restroom for about a month until it was discovered and reported by a customer in November 2024.
Following this, the police launched an investigation and arrested Zehan Xu, a 25-year-old resident of Toronto, on April 20, 2025.
He is currently facing two charges of voyeurism.
The Toronto police said in a notice: "Investigators believe that there may be other victims who visited the restaurant during the period from October to November 2024 and were secretly filmed without their knowledge or consent."
The police urge citizens who used the restroom at this location during this time to contact them promptly.
