China has successfully launched a group of low-orbit satellites to realize satellite internet satellites.
China Central Television reported this news.
According to the report, the launch was carried out by the CZ-6A ("Long March 6-A") rocket from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center at 18:03 Beijing Time (13:03 Moscow Time).
This is the 585th launch for the "Long March" series of rockets.
Russian media pointed out that the improved two-stage CZ-6A is 50 meters long and uses environmentally friendly fuel - a mixture of kerosene and liquid oxygen. The rocket was jointly developed by the Shanghai Aerospace Science and Technology Research Institute and the Aviation Science and Technology Group Co., Ltd., equipped with four solid-fuel engines, and can deliver about 6.5 tons of payload into a sun-synchronous orbit (500 km).
Compared to the CZ-6, it has an extended first stage, whose diameter is the same as the second stage (3.35 meters). This is the 29th mission for this type of launch vehicle and the sixth mission in 2025.
