Killer of Kirk Identified

According to Reuters, US President Trump said on September 12 local time that the suspect in the Kirk shooting case has been arrested.

Trump told Fox News that day, "I think we have caught him. Someone close to him turned him in, and he is currently detained by law enforcement."

According to a report by the New York Post on the same day, citing law enforcement sources, the suspect is a 22-year-old man from Utah named Taylor Robinson.

Trump said it was the suspect's father who revealed this information through "a pastor who has contact with law enforcement."

"I hope he will be found guilty and I also hope he will be sentenced to death," Trump said.

According to a report by American limited television news network, law enforcement officials said the suspect's father recognized his son in a photo released publicly.

The suspect's father told his son to turn himself in, and he also contacted a youth pastor for assistance. The pastor then called the US Marshals Service, and the suspect was arrested.

Kirk was one of the founders of the conservative organization "American Promise." After he was attacked and killed at a university in Utah on the 10th, two men were initially detained as suspects, but were eventually cleared of suspicion and released.
