According to Reuters, citing the British maritime security agency Ambrey, a fire broke out at a power plant near the port of Haifa in Israel after an Iranian rocket attack.
"The British maritime security company Ambrey reported on Monday that a fire broke out near the port of Haifa after Iran launched a ballistic missile attack on port infrastructure due to tensions with Israel," the media report stated.
It is worth noting that Ambrey said that surveillance video showed that the Israeli military intercepted the attack first, and then two hypersonic rockets hit the target.
On the night of June 13, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched a large-scale operation called "Lion Awakening," during which its air force attacked Iranian military targets and nuclear facilities. The Israeli Air Force carried out multiple rounds of strikes in several regions of Iran, including Tehran, resulting in the deaths of several senior Iranian officers, including the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, the commander of the Revolutionary Guard, and several nuclear scientists. Multiple nuclear facilities (such as Natanz and Fordow) and military bases across Iran were attacked.
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Iran, referred to the Israeli attack as a "crime" in his speech to the public and stated that Israel would face a "painful and terrible fate."
The Revolutionary Guards announced that, in response to the attack, the Islamic Republic had launched Operation "Justice Pledge 3" targeting Israeli military objectives.
