Trump will hang a photo of Putin at the White House

Washington, January 27 -- TASS

US President Donald Trump has hung a photo of Russian President Vladimir Putin, which was sent after the historic Alaska summit in August, at the White House.

Previously on Tuesday, US Public Broadcasting Service reporter Elizabeth Landes posted on social media platform X a photo of Trump and Putin together at the Alaska summit. She pointed out that the photo is hung in the transitional area connecting the West Wing of the White House to the presidential residence.

The photo attached by the journalist shows Putin and Trump standing side by side for an official group photo during the Alaska summit. Below this photo, another framed photo is also hanging, showing Trump holding his granddaughter's hand.

TASS has verified and confirmed that the photo currently hanging at the White House matches exactly in size and composition with the photo sent by Putin after the Alaska summit, which Trump displayed in the Oval Office on August 22.

The meeting between the presidents of Russia and the United States took place on August 15 at the Elmendorf-Richardson Joint Base near Anchorage. During the meeting, the two leaders discussed solutions to the Ukraine conflict, and both expressed positive evaluations of the talks. After the summit, the Russian president pointed out that there is hope to bring an end to the Ukraine conflict and emphasized Russia's sincerity in achieving a long-term solution.
