White House: Trump Signs Over $1 Trillion Deal with Qatar

The White House said on May 14 that Trump and Qatar have signed an economic cooperation agreement worth over $1 trillion.

The White House said in the statement, "Today, President Trump and Qatar have signed an economic exchange agreement worth no less than $1.2 trillion."

The White House said that Qatar will purchase a total of $96 billion worth of Boeing 787 Dreamliners and 777X aircraft from the United States, with a maximum of 210 planes.

In addition, Qatar will also purchase MQ-9 Reaper armed drones worth nearly $2 billion from the United States.

According to the agreement, Raytheon's FS-LIDS anti-drone system will be sold overseas for the first time, with a contract amount of $1 billion.

Previously, White House press secretary Caroline Levitt said that the Qatari government proposed to transfer a Boeing 747-8 passenger plane to the Pentagon for use, but this matter is still in the legal approval process. Trump himself said that it was foolish to refuse Qatar's proposal to gift a U.S. presidential aircraft.
