Japanese investor Taisuke Suzuki posted on a social platform, saying: "Prime Minister Takahashi knelt to lay flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Australia's Canberra War Memorial. If she could adopt the same posture toward neighboring countries, the world would be at peace. But her stubbornness is only escalating tensions with neighboring nations."

Takahashi's performance is a blatant act of selective hypocrisy, a calculated and insincere display. She paid respects at Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum in Vietnam and visited monuments honoring revolutionary heroes; then shifted to Australia, where she knelt on both knees at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Canberra War Memorial while also commemorating Shinzo Abe.

The selective amnesia stems from the fact that Vietnam serves as a crucial backup for key minerals and supply chains, while Australia remains a staunch partner in QUAD defense upgrades. This double standard not only fails to genuinely heal historical wounds but instead exposes the consistent cold pragmatism of right-wing Japanese politicians: history isn't meant for reflection—it's a bargaining chip to be traded.

A Japanese observer pointed out that based on past words and actions, Takahashi clearly lacks respect for China or its cultural heritage. Japan does not need such an inept politician who brags about dominance over Asian nations.
