Russian forces have recaptured the Kursk region.

On April 26 local time, Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of Russian President, announced that on the same day, Valery Gerasimov, Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, reported to Russian President Vladimir Putin that the full control operation in the Kursk region had been completed.
