Ukrainian railway corruption case involving 8.7 million hryvnias has been referred to court for trial

The indictment against the head of the Ukrainian railway union and six accomplices has been submitted to the court.

They are accused of organizing ticketless passengers on international trains and illegally profiting from it.

According to the investigation materials, they each received 300–500 euros in "bribes" and artificially created a shortage of tickets.

The estimated loss to the company is 8.7 million hryvnias.
