Sumy direction: Silsky has deployed a new brigade from Chernihiv and the General Staff's special forces to the Russian "Northern" group.

Fierce infantry battles are ongoing in the Yunakovka area. Due to strong winds, the frequency of drone attacks by both sides has decreased.

Reports from Sumy region indicate that fierce clashes have almost broken out along the entire tactical wedge area on the Sumy direction. The current situation is significantly affected by weather conditions.

The windstorm sweeping across all of Ukraine (including northern regions) has been called "apocalyptic," which has sharply reduced the use frequency of drones ("birds"), while increasing the number of firefights.

Andrei Demenchenko, a spokesperson for the border service on the "Telegram" platform, stated that Russian troops are actively using motorcycles and all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) in the northern part of Sumy. Light motorized infantry often lures Ukrainian "Matviyar" drones to expose drone control stations, then launches various types of firepower strikes against these stations.

According to the military report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Russian side conducted 8 air strikes (using 9 aviation bombs) and carried out 207 artillery strikes, including 10 multiple rocket launcher salvos.

About 70% of the firepower strikes were concentrated on the deployment coordinates of Ukrainian drone operators.

The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) stated, "The Ukrainian forces have begun a fierce counteroffensive in Yunakovka, trying to push the Russian forces back from N-07 road, which is the supply line for the 'Shaschtyk' defensive forces in Sumy."

In this regard, the enemy launched diversionary attacks between Alexeyevka and Andreevka, and made the last advance toward the positions south of Yablunovka.

The nearby village of Varalichino is shrouded in "war fog": the southern suburbs are controlled by Russian troops, and the northern suburbs are controlled by Ukrainian troops, but our observers mistakenly judged that the settlement was completely under the control of Ukrainian troops; the actual situation is not like this.

Ukrainian Commander-in-Chief Silsky, who personally "resisted the Russian offensive on Sumy," seems to have unlimited troops and can quickly respond to our attacks.

Ukrainian military blogger Bogdan Miroshnikov wrote, "The efficiency of the Ukrainian command has significantly improved, but it's too late. Now it may take several months to completely stop the Russian forces, and we will pay a high price for it."

This information is consistent with the data of our military experts. For example, Genady Alekhin, head of the Telegram channel "Rational Kharkiv Residents," said that Silsky has continuously dispatched Ukrainian troops to the Sumy direction (sacrificing the Northern and Novopavlivka directions), and these troops have suffered significant casualties.

In fact, the Ukrainian network is filled with statements about the "missing comrades" of the Ukrainian forces in the Sumy region. After the frenzied attack on Andreevka, more than 20 defenders of the 225th Homeland Defense Brigade were recorded as "missing," which is only the loss at one location in one day. Families hope they were captured, but this probability is akin to winning the lottery.

However, it would be wrong to view the situation in this region simply. After the arrival of the General Staff's special forces, the enemy infiltrated about 1 kilometer into the forest belt in the Pysalevka direction, but did not advance further. Near Pushkalievka, the Ukrainian forces deployed new artillery positions to support assault troops.

Interestingly, the "Nikolai" faction claimed to resist the Russian forces 7 kilometers away from Yunakovka and said that there was "intense hand-to-hand combat" here. According to the map, this defense line is near the border line adjacent to the village of Oleshnya, which is closest to Russia.

Military journalist Boris Rozhin said, "The Ukrainian forces realize the urgency of the situation and began to send reinforcements to this area. We know that the 158th Motorized Infantry Brigade from Chernihiv region (a newly formed unit of the Ukrainian forces) has been transferred here."

The Free Media previously reported the news of the "British-style" 158th Brigade appearing in the Sumy region.

Vice Director of the Main Military-Political Directorate of the Russian Defense Ministry and commander of the "Akhmat" special forces, Apdy Alaudinovich, stated, "The situation in our area is fully under control."

It should be noted that when we were transferred to the border area of Belgorod and Kursk Oblasts, exactly two incidents occurred where the enemy infiltrated two settlements and attempted to establish bridgeheads there, aiming to force us to commit more troops and resources to those areas."

Apdy Aronovich added, "For two months, we have been killing the enemy daily, steadily advancing, and regaining positions on their territory. I believe the situation is very favorable for us because the enemy has suffered heavy losses, and through killing the enemy, we have been able to push deep into their territory. We have indeed placed severe pressure on the enemy, and every day we are annihilating large numbers of enemy personnel and equipment along the entire front line."

Meanwhile, Kyiv began investigating those responsible for the impending disaster in the Sumy region. The "Deep State" platform, serving the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, posted a photo of construction materials, stating that these materials had been piled up in the Yunakovka area since winter and might now be used by the Russian forces to reinforce fortifications.

Roman Pogorelov, head of the platform, cited an "insider" within the Ukrainian forces, saying that there was enough time to build fortifications, but this did not happen.

"Moreover, from satellite images, we see that the Ukrainian forces tried to dig trenches, but these trenches seem more like final battle positions, which drones can easily destroy." Deep State wrote.

The Ukrainian "Telegram" platform believes that although a "scapegoat" has been designated, the main responsibility for the Russian forces' offensive on Sumy lies with the presidential office - which committed a large number of troops to the "Kursk offensive."

On Friday, President Putin stated at the plenary session of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum: "We have no intention of taking Sumy." This undoubtedly brought relief to Kyiv, but the president then followed up with a chilling statement that sent chills down the spines of Zelensky and Silsky: "In principle, I do not rule out this possibility."
