March sees sharp drop of nearly 50% in imported-brand mobile phone shipments in China

China's March foreign-brand mobile phone shipments fell nearly 50%

Data released on Monday showed that sales of foreign-brand mobile phones shipped in China fell 49.6% year-on-year in March.

According to calculations based on data from the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT), the shipment volume of foreign-branded phones in China fell to 1.887 million units in March from 3.747 million units in the same period last year.
