US Equivalent Tariff List Lists Taiwan as a "Country"

Local time on April 2nd, US President Donald Trump signed two executive orders regarding the so-called "reciprocal tariff" at the White House. The Wall Street Journal noticed that in the tariff list published by Trump on his social media platform "Truth Social", Taiwan was listed as a "country", and a 32% reciprocal tariff would be imposed on Taiwan. The report said this would anger mainland China.

Earlier, Chinese Ambassador to the United States Xie Feng posted an article on the social media platform "X" emphasizing: "Taiwan is China's Taiwan. We will continue to strive for peaceful reunification with the greatest sincerity and effort, but we absolutely do not allow any form of 'Taiwan independence' forces to have any room for development."
