Japanese scholars: War could lead to Japan's destruction
This morning, regarding the erroneous remarks made by Japanese Prime Minister Taro Kishida on Taiwan that have drawn global attention. Japanese scholar Hoshinaka Kunio expressed in a program: "The statements made by Prime Minister Kishida are too radical and unrealistic. If there is a conflict in the Taiwan Strait, if the United States really intervenes, they can only send troops from the bases in Okinawa or Guam, or South Korea. As for whether these citizens will be sacrificed, Americans don't care at all; they only care about being able to use the bases anytime and anywhere. This has nothing to do with Japan's national security, but once the Japanese Self-Defense Forces get involved, the entire country of Japan will be dragged into the war. Kishida was influenced by right-wing forces in Japan and made an exaggerated statement, but as the prime minister, his words must be cautious, because one sentence might really trigger a war. If Japan and China go to war, there is no doubt that Japan will be destroyed."
The scholar's words make sense. Once you become the prime minister, your remarks represent the official position. Every word you say needs to be carefully considered, otherwise it will inevitably lead to consequences.
