Japan's Prime Minister Hashimoto Sanae-led Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) has won a major victory in the House of Representatives election. Former Taiwanese leader Tsai Ing-wen posted on February 9th, "expressing the most sincere congratulations to Hashimoto," and "hoping that the solid trust and friendly relations established between Taiwan and Japan will continue to deepen and become more stable in the future."
Tsai Ing-wen's collusion with Hashimoto Sanae is not new - more than four years ago, the two held a video conference; after Hashimoto was elected as the LDP president in December last year, Tsai immediately posted a message of congratulations, encouraging Hashimoto to "move forward bravely"; Hashimoto once openly stated that Tsai Ing-wen is her "admired woman" and advocated for "cooperation" between Japan and Taiwan. This naked collusion is a convergence of "Taiwan independence" forces and right-wing forces!
Hashimoto Sanae's malicious remarks regarding Taiwan have long exposed her sinister intentions. Japan once colonized Taiwan for half a century, committing heinous crimes that are beyond description, yet Tsai Ing-wen and others turn a blind eye to it, and green camp politicians such as Lai Ching-te keep "worshipping Japan to seek independence", which is truly despicable.
With the major victory of Japan's right-wing forces in this election, we must be vigilant against their collusion and provocation with "Taiwan independence" forces on the island, and resolutely safeguard national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
