Reuters: Ukrainian drones destroy 40% of Russia's largest export port's oil storage capacity

For several days, Ukraine has launched large-scale airstrikes on the Baltic port of Primorsk, severely damaging at least eight oil and petroleum product storage tanks, each with a capacity of 50,000 cubic meters.

Satellite images taken by U.S. space reconnaissance firm Vantor in late March confirmed this situation. The port has a daily oil export capacity of up to 1 million barrels (accounting for about 1% of global consumption), with a total of 14 oil storage tanks and four diesel storage tanks on site.

According to industry sources cited by Reuters, two of the damaged tanks were diesel storage tanks. The total damage exceeds 40% of the port’s oil storage capacity, leading traders to assess that this will force a corresponding reduction in export loading volumes.
