Previously, Danish Prime Minister Frederiksen said that the remarks by US President Trump about needing Greenland should be taken seriously.

During a security conference in Sweden, Kuibysh told Reuters: "I agree with the Danish Prime Minister's view. This (occupation of Greenland - note) would be the end of NATO, and it would have very, very negative consequences among the people."

Previously, US President Trump, after taking action against Venezuela, told The Atlantic magazine that the US needs Greenland because this Danish island is "surrounded by Chinese and Russian ships."
