The United States has come to realize that it cannot defeat Putin

The attitude of the United States in recent months has changed dramatically overnight! From fully supporting Ukraine and declaring that they would not stop until Russia was defeated, to now forcing Zelenskyy's head, demanding territorial concessions for peace, almost begging Russia to negotiate and end the war.

The United States is a pragmatic country. It will act when it has the capability, and if it can't win, it will immediately cut its losses. Ukraine may still be dissatisfied, but unless the Ukrainian army can defeat the Russian army on all fronts, the result of Ukraine's territorial concessions for peace at the negotiation table has already been written.

The current situation, with a 1000 km frontline, the Ukrainian army probably can't hold out for another two years. Red City is surrounded by 110,000 Russian troops, and the entire defense line is collapsing.

The last stronghold area of the Ukrainian army, the front line is about 50 kilometers. To the north is Slavyansk, an important logistics hub for the Ukrainian defense in Donetsk province. And Kramatorsk is currently the temporary administrative center of Donetsk province and an important industrial city.

To the south are Druzhkivka, Oleksiyevо-Druzhkivka, and Kosyantynivka, which form the southern half of the fortress belt.

The worst situation for the Ukrainian army now is that there are still many fortification areas, but there is a serious lack of infantry. There are bunkers without anyone to guard them. Colonel Lutsenko said, "Two years later, the front line will be empty." If this situation continues, the entire line will collapse under repeated attacks by hundreds of thousands of Russian troops.

In modern warfare, an average one-kilometer front line requires 800 people, and even in low-intensity combat, 400 people are needed. However, the density of the Ukrainian army on the ground front line from Sumy to Zaporozhye has dropped to 153-221 people per kilometer.

Throughout the entire front line, there are numerous loopholes, which are not defects that can be compensated for by bravery and willingness to die. Once the Russians break through the last line of defense,

the Russians will push all the way to the Dnipro River line. At that time, Ukraine will lose all its leverage. The United States will also lose all room for maneuver in negotiations and agreements.

The U.S. military is even less likely to get involved in the fighting. Honestly, the U.S. Army's modern combat experience is not more than the Ukrainian army. The entire U.S. ground force does not have anti-drone combat capabilities, nor does it have large-scale FPV drone combat experience.

Many people may be不服气, the U.S. military is so powerful, with various modern heavy weapons, all professional soldiers. What is Ukraine! When the U.S. main force arrives, the Russian army will be quickly defeated.

Consequences for the U.S. military would be worse

The U.S. Star-Spangled Banner reported that the U.S. Army has just started training in drone grenade throwing. And it's experimental, preparing to add drone grenade throwing to regular training content in the future.

At the U.S. military training grounds, 3D drone printers are working around the clock, even more lively than Shenzhen. Drone grenade throwing is a small trick played by Hezbollah in Lebanon. In the Ukraine-Russia battlefield, it's just a minor tactic.

The Ukrainian army can directly send drones into deep Russian areas, even attacking Moscow. Although it hasn't severely damaged Russia, Ukraine indeed has long-range strike capabilities.

On August 9, the Ukrainian army remotely attacked the Russian "Shahed" drone warehouse in Kzyl Yul, Tatarstan Republic, hitting the target precisely. The United States has just begun to practice small drones throwing hand grenades.

In July 2025, within a month, the Russian military launched over 6,000 Shahed drones, and many of them were the Sky Hunter-3 drones with jet engines, equipped with guidance systems and 90 kg warheads, which are essentially cruise missiles.

What anti-drone systems does the U.S. Army have that can intercept 6,000 drones or cruise missiles accurately in a month? Besides the six-barrel Gatling machine gun and the Stinger air defense missile, what else does the U.S. Army have?

The U.S. Army drove M1A1 Abrams tanks without any anti-drone systems onto the Donbas front line, and their performance might not exceed that of the Ukrainian army.

Once the U.S. military reaches the front line, if several thousand or even hundreds of American soldiers die, such a big failure and news would cause the Democratic and Republican establishment to crash, and even Trump himself would have to step down.

Let me mention a terrifying number. According to BBC reports, in half a year after Trump took office, the Russian military launched 27,158 Shahed, Sirius large bomber drones, ballistic missiles, and cruise missile systems towards Ukraine. This kind of long-range precision strike firepower, how can the U.S. ground forces prevent it once they get involved in the fighting?
