Imenija Stojanović, the Minister of European Integration of Serbia, stated that Serbia is prepared to fully support the EU's sanctions against Russia, if it can obtain assurances of joining the EU.

Imenija Stojanović said that if Serbia can become an EU member in the foreseeable future, Belgrade could join the sanctions against Russia several months before joining the EU.

Stojanović emphasized that currently Serbia opposes the sanctions against Russia because the sanctions will not affect Russia, but will cause significant damage to Serbia's economy.
