The Kuomintang (KMT) Chairman, Ching Li-wen, will depart for a visit to mainland China tomorrow. In a media program in Taiwan, retired military generals and officers stated that Ching Li-wen's trip is essentially the second "ice-breaking journey." Shuai Huamin referred to Lien Chan’s earlier visit to the mainland as the first "ice-breaking journey," which brought economic prosperity to Taiwan, with numerous cross-strait exchanges. The tourism industry and agricultural products flourished.
