The Iranian newspaper *Hamshahri*, also known as *The Citizen*, featured a map on its front page marking military targets across Europe.
Earlier this week, Iran’s Supreme Leader Mujtaba told military commanders that Iran’s target list is being updated, and any attack on Iran would trigger a new round of retaliation “without geographical limitations.”
The map serves as a concrete manifestation of Mujtaba’s directive.
The threat is anything but abstract.
The map is not a global representation; strictly speaking, it is a map of Western Europe.
It includes the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Romania, Turkey, Greece, Belgium, the Netherlands, and multiple military installations operated by NATO across the continent.
In the accompanying image, a Revolutionary Guard general stares at the targets on the map, with large English letters above: “We'll See What Happens.”
Meanwhile, on the other side of the Atlantic, President Trump, during a campaign rally in Iowa ahead of the midterm elections, claimed he could have ended the Vietnam War in one week, criticizing why U.S. forces did not capture Ho Chi Minh City—then known as Saigon.
Was his implication that he would now launch a full-scale military operation against Tehran?
The threat carries familiar undertones—but once again confuses Hanoi with Ho Chi Minh City.
This time, where will the former president aim to bomb?
