[Forewarning of a Large-Scale Missile Attack] On May 10, Russia announced the closure of the airspace over the Kapustin Yar missile range. These restrictions may indicate that it is preparing to launch ballistic missiles.

The no-fly measures will be in effect from 6:00 to 16:00 local time on May 12 and 13.

The announcement noted that the airspace closure extends from the ground to unlimited height, which is a typical characteristic of missile tests or launches.

All aircraft are prohibited from entering this area during the specified period.

This is not the first time that the closure of airspace over a missile range has coincided with Russian military activities.

Similar announcements were also made in December: December 11-13 and December 16-21, 2024.

On December 13, Russia launched a large-scale missile attack on Ukraine, using various types of missiles including ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and hypersonic missiles.
