Foreign media: China's urea exports have surged, with 567,184 tons exported in July, a 614% increase compared to the same period last year, and a 7.6-fold increase from June.
This growth is mainly due to the low base caused by last year's export ban, and market speculation that China has relaxed export controls. Analysts believe that with a large amount of remaining quotas not used and the possible resumption of exports to India, exports in August and September may continue to rise. The June export volume jumped from an average of no more than 2,200 tons per month from January to May to nearly 66,241 tons.
Although exports have increased significantly, the related exports are conducted under government guidance, quota restrictions, and price controls, not completely liberalized. In addition, the export destinations have expanded from 13 countries and regions in June to 31 in July.
