Foreign Media: China is hosting the world's first humanoid robot sports event, showcasing its ambitions in the rapidly developing field of humanoid robots.
This competition brings together 280 teams from 16 countries (including Japan, Germany, and the United States), with over 500 humanoid robots competing in 26 events (such as basketball and freestyle fighting).
In the 1500-meter running race held in Beijing on August 15, the H1 robot from Hangzhou Unitree Technology performed outstandingly, winning first and third place. The "Tiangong Ultra" robot from Beijing's X-Humanoid company took second place. This robot had previously won the first robot half marathon in April.
The H1 robot from Unitree, priced at 650,000 RMB (approximately 90,526 USD), is the same model that performed the Yangge dance during this year's Spring Festival Gala. Wang Xingxing, CEO of Unitree, stated that the H1, as the company's first humanoid robot, its performance in the competition was of great significance.
