According to the WeChat official account "China Aerospace", on May 13, 2025, under the witness of President Xi Jinping and Brazilian President Lula, Director Sun Zhongde of the China National Space Administration (CNSA) and Minister Luciana Santos of Brazil's Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation signed the "Joint Intention Statement between the China National Space Administration and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation of Brazil on Sharing Space Data with Latin American and Caribbean Countries" during the fourth ministerial meeting of the China-CELAC Forum. According to the agreement in this joint intention statement, both parties will share the data of the China-Brazil Earth Resources Satellite with CELAC countries and provide relevant capacity building and training support.

China and Brazil have jointly developed and successfully launched five China-Brazil Earth Resources Satellites, which have played an important role in the economic development and social progress of both countries, and are regarded as a model of "South-South Cooperation" in the high-tech field. The sharing of China-Brazil Earth Resources Satellite data with CELAC countries by China and Brazil, utilizing aerospace technology to serve areas such as agricultural and forestry monitoring, environmental protection, disaster warning, and responding to climate change in Latin America and the Caribbean, is an important measure to implement the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative, and the Global Civilization Initiative. It will further deepen China's space cooperation with CELAC countries and promote the construction of a human community in the outer space domain.
