The U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission returns to China for a visit after many years.

Foreign media: The U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission (USCC), a body under the U.S. Congress, recently concluded its first visit to China since 2019, with the delegation traveling to Beijing, Shanghai, and Hangzhou. They held candid discussions with U.S. diplomats, Chinese officials, think tanks, and representatives from U.S.-China enterprises on topics spanning artificial intelligence, advanced technologies, biotechnology, economic security, regional security, and global issues.

Mike Kukurin, Vice Chair of the commission, stated that the committee committed to visiting China at least once annually to expand engagement and ensure analysis keeps pace with the evolving bilateral relationship. Since its establishment in 2000, the commission has been responsible for submitting annual policy recommendation reports to Congress.
