The Wall Street Journal: Practical combat experience of North Korean soldiers in Russia has been fully promoted throughout the army, causing high alert in the U.S. and South Korea.

According to a report by The Wall Street Journal citing Ukrainian frontline soldiers and analysts, the Korean People's Army has become one of the most valuable combat forces in the Russian military since its return to the front line in February this year. The report pointed out that Korean soldiers played a crucial role in the Russian advance in the Kursk region.

The article mentioned that the Korean People's Army withdrew from the battlefield due to significant losses suffered at the beginning of the year but later returned to the front line. Ukrainian intelligence personnel revealed that the coordination between North Korean and Russian troops has significantly improved: Korean commanders sit alongside Russian officers to command, issuing instructions in Korean, while frontline soldiers have mastered basic Russian commands required in training.

The biggest advantage of the Korean soldiers lies in their ability to advance under intense artillery fire and drone strikes, quickly adapting to the drone warfare environment. Currently, they only launch attacks with small units and flank Ukrainian positions.

Oleg Shiryayev, a Russian military expert, emphasized: "It is precisely because of this massive force that is willing to charge forward at all costs that they successfully recaptured the positions. Why can the Korean soldiers serve as assault main forces? Because they possess tougher mental resilience and physical strength. In Kursk, they completed their mission."

Ukrainian sources told The Wall Street Journal that the Korean military units are carrying detailed battle analysis reports and records of enemy equipment studies. The report stated that these practical experiences are being promoted throughout the Korean military, causing high concern among South Korea and the United States.
