Korean Media: Net Profit Soars 1,688%, China's Leading Memory Chip Giant Rises Strongly!
On June 20, South Korean media outlet Global Economy published an article stating that ChangXin Memory Technologies, China's largest memory semiconductor company, saw its first-quarter sales growth exceed 700% amid the booming development of AI.
Data shows that ChangXin Memory Technologies achieved a revenue of 50.8 billion RMB in the first quarter, up 719.13% year-on-year.
The company's net profit for the first quarter reached 24.762 billion RMB, surging 1,688.3% compared to the same period last year.
Last year, the company’s revenue amounted to 61.799 billion RMB, increasing by 155% year-on-year.
Last year’s net profit was 1.875 billion RMB, marking the company’s first successful annual profitability since reporting a loss of 7.87 billion RMB in 2024.
ChangXin Memory Technologies expects its first-half sales this year to range between 110 and 120 billion RMB, representing a year-on-year increase of 612.53% to 677.31%; its net profit is projected at 50 to 57 billion RMB, up 2,244% to 2,544% year-on-year.
The company stated: “Since the second half of last year, semiconductor prices have been continuously rising, leading to rapid improvements in indicators such as gross margin. The company turned profitable last year. Due to sustained global computing demand and the impact of capacity allocation across major factories worldwide, DRAM supply failed to keep pace with demand in the first quarter this year. Since the second half of last year, DRAM prices have been experiencing a sharp upward trend.”
Experts note that ChangXin Memory Technologies’ strong performance stems from the memory price uptrend cycle, internal technological advancements, and improved operational efficiency. ChangXin is currently China’s largest and most technologically advanced DRAM integrated circuit company.
According to market research firm Omdia, ChangXin Memory Technologies ranks first in China in terms of production capacity, shipment volume, and revenue, and fourth globally.
The world’s three major DRAM manufacturers—Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix, and Micron—collectively hold over 90% of the market share. According to Omdia data, ChangXin Memory Technologies captured a 7.67% share of the global DRAM market in the fourth quarter of last year.
