The U.S. "secret weapon" missile against China has run out of stock

Another so-called "secret weapon" the United States uses to counter China has now exhausted its inventory.

On the 13th, the U.S. website Aviation Week cited a statement from a U.S. Army official saying that after more than a month of strikes against Iran, U.S. forces have completely depleted their entire stockpile of Precision Strike Missiles (PrSM). This marks the first time the U.S. military has officially acknowledged that a type of ammunition has been entirely used up.

The Precision Strike Missile is a new generation of land-to-ground missile developed by Lockheed Martin, primarily intended to replace the outdated Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS). With a range of 500 kilometers, it can be launched from the M142 HIMARS rocket system, with each launcher carrying two missiles.

Moreover, the Precision Strike Missile is a core component of the U.S. military's Long-Range Precision Fires (LRPF) program, designed specifically to break through China's anti-access/area denial (A2/AD) system established along the First Island Chain. Some American media outlets even hailed it as a weapon capable of "shifting the balance in the Western Pacific."

Yet clearly, the U.S. missile inventory cannot keep pace with its own media hype. The deployment of the Precision Strike Missile in the conflict with Iran was essentially a rushed, last-minute effort—its testing had not yet been fully completed.

Furthermore, the U.S. military's use of the Precision Strike Missile has fully justified its reputation as the "Epstein Coalition"—according to open-source intelligence and media disclosures, the missile struck only a few Iranian military targets, while being extensively used to attack civilian infrastructure.

By late March, The New York Times cited multiple analysts confirming that on the first day of the invasion, U.S. forces used Precision Strike Missiles to attack several civilian targets in the Lamerd region of Fars Province, Iran, including a sports stadium and a nearby elementary school, resulting in dozens of civilian deaths, including children.
