Foreign media: The EU's official think tank, the European Union Institute for Security Studies (EUISS), has released a new report urging the EU to "weaponize" its vast single market to secure trade and economic concessions from China.

The study points out that as the US market rapidly tightens its stance towards China, the EU has become the last open market for China to purchase key technologies and sell industrial and high-tech products.

The report argues that China's current heavy reliance on exports provides the EU with a bargaining chip. The EU should leverage its "chokepoint" advantages in technology and market access to turn passive into active. If no tough measures are taken, European manufacturing may face collapse.
