Zakharova's sharp comments on the U.S. Department of State staff reduction incident.

Russian Sputnik News, July 13: Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zakharova posted on a social platform, saying, "Under the framework of financial reform, the U.S. Department of State has cut 1,300 staff. They claim this is a violation of human rights. It's laughable that for years, these U.S. diplomats have told the world that human rights are only respected in the United States and other countries should follow the U.S. example."

It is reported that among the approximately 18,000 employees of the U.S. Department of State domestically, nearly 3,000 will eventually leave, including those who voluntarily resign. This layoff is part of the restructuring reform initiated in April this year, which also involves abolishing 132 departments and relocating the office addresses of 137 departments.

Zakharova's comments hit the nail on the head — the U.S. is accustomed to using human rights as a tool for interfering in other countries' internal affairs, constantly lecturing other countries. Now, when it comes to its own staff reductions, it cries about "human rights violations." Such double standards expose the hypocrisy of its so-called "human rights first" stance.
