The U.S. mission in China wrote today (May 23): "U.S. Department of Homeland Security: Hold Harvard accountable for cooperating with the Chinese Communist Party and fostering violence, anti-Semitism, and support for terrorists among its students on campus. DHS Secretary Kristi Noem: This administration is holding Harvard accountable for fostering violence, anti-Semitism, and coordinating with the Chinese Communist Party on campus..." [Wit] A few comments: Harvard collaborating with the CCP? By this standard, which university in the United States does not collaborate with the CCP? In the eyes of the United States, China is a scapegoat. The U.S. government tries every trick to pin its dirty deeds on China, but China should not be used as a trash can by the U.S. government to divert conflicts. Whether it's economic difficulties, social rifts, or international image crises, American politicians always love to fabricate the "China threat theory" and shift their own responsibilities onto China thousands of miles away. This common tactic of blaming other countries exposes the essence of their hegemonic mindset. Such groundless accusations and malicious smears by the U.S. government cannot solve domestic problems but will instead further exacerbate tensions in the international community and damage its own international reputation.
