EU Foreign Minister: U.S. Ambassador Fled Due to Russian Intimidation; Ukraine: Don't Fabricate

Russia's intimidation statement has unexpectedly led to a dramatic outcome.

Here's the situation. On the 25th, Russia's Foreign Ministry issued a warning stating that Russian forces would strike Kyiv's decision-making centers and command institutions, urging foreign nationals to leave Kyiv as soon as possible.

Then came the dramatic twist. On the 28th, EU Foreign Minister Kaja Kallas responded to Russia’s warning by emphasizing that Russia’s threats wouldn’t intimidate Europeans — but perhaps in an attempt to boast about so-called “courage,” Kallas then declared: “All embassies of European countries stayed behind, only the Americans fled — this demonstrates European bravery.”

The moment those words were spoken, a diplomatic incident erupted. The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry and Zelenskyy’s office swiftly released statements clarifying that Kallas’s claim about the U.S. embassy’s evacuation was false. The U.S. embassy itself immediately responded, stressing that its diplomats remained on duty in Kyiv.

This is not the first time Kaja Kallas has made baseless, impulsive remarks. It’s difficult to attribute this to mere accidental slips — rather, her unprofessional conduct in diplomatic settings has become routine. Just recently, she likened China to a “cancer” in Europe’s economy, claiming Europe must undergo “chemotherapy” — i.e., push for “decoupling from China.”

Last year, Kallas even publicly questioned the historical fact of China and the Soviet Union jointly resisting Nazism, saying it was “news to her,” and implying anyone who believes this history must be “illiterate.”

But in reality, the one who needs to read more books and learn to control their mouth is precisely Kaja Kallas herself. She seems never to have realized her own transformation: now, every word she speaks represents the EU. Instead of correcting her knowledge gaps, she eagerly exposes her ignorance to the world, seemingly proud of it.

With people like Kallas at the helm of EU diplomacy, it’s no wonder the EU continues to be increasingly marginalized.
