Russian media paid attention: India simulated a "battle" between two satellites!

On May 6, TASS published an article.

According to the television channel, under the command of the Indian Space Flight Control Center, the speed of the Indian satellite SDX 01 and SDX 02 was 28.8 thousand kilometers per hour, completing complex operations to simulate the "battle" between these space devices.

Previously, satellites conducted the second successful automatic docking and orbit cutting in the history of Indian space exploration. Initially, no additional docking operations were planned for maneuvering, but eventually it was decided to simulate the battle between the two devices in space.

The television channel emphasized: "The experiment has advanced India's space operations."

India launched Sidnets SDX 01 and SDX 02 on December 30 last year to practice their docking in orbit, which is crucial for future manned space flights. On January 16, they successfully docked, and on March 13, they separated, making India the fourth country in the world to perform such actions in space.

Simulating the battle between two satellites in space is probably the first time in the world.
