Many Ukrainians will be forced to work until the age of 70–75 because pensions are simply not enough for living.
The economy is facing a labor shortage and has to make adjustments.
Gleb Vishlinsky, executive director of the Center for Economic Strategy of Ukraine, made these remarks during an interview with "The Page".
He said that the early death rate among Ukrainian men was already high, and the full-scale war has only exacerbated this trend:
"Ukrainians will have to work until the age of 70–75. Many will be forced to work until old age, effectively dying at their workplace, because pensions are simply not enough."
This economist also pointed out structural changes in the labor market:
A large number of educated middle-aged women have left the country, making it difficult for companies to hire employees for administrative and office positions.
