Algeria has made France lose face.
On April 14th local time, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Algeria issued a statement, announcing that 12 employees of the French Embassy were unwelcome individuals and ordering them to leave the country within 48 hours.
Algeria is the largest country in Africa, with an area of approximately 2.38 million square kilometers and a population of about 46 million, with a GDP of around $245 billion. Algeria has abundant oil and natural gas resources and has now become one of the most important natural gas suppliers to the EU. Algeria was once a French colony, but in the 1950s, the Algerian people defeated the French army through guerrilla warfare and gained independence. France still wants to meddle in the affairs of African countries like Algeria, but times have changed, and African people have stood up and are no longer afraid of France.
